Shortcuts to folders will not sync the actual folder so you would have to find and select that manually. If have Desktop already checked in Defaults, any folder in the Desktop will already be included. In this case I chose to add the videos folder but you can choose any folder. Here you can accept the default folders chosen, deselect any of the default ones, and also choose to add other folders on your PC that you'd like to backup to Drive.Ħ. My concern (and it’s only concern, not panic or outrage those come later ) is that this seems like a shift from “a directory on my computer that is automatically synced with my other devices” to “a data store on my computer that is synced but that requires 3rd party software to access”. It rolled out to me as well, but at this time I don’t keep any files on external volumes. ODContainer appear to be the actual files, so that means backup should be able to be done.
